MANAAKI TANGATA

Manaaki Tangata is our Social services provision

Our service targets the well-being of our whānau because we understand the day-to-day pressures that whānau experience. Each provision is targeted to specific areas to ensure that we can support the process of finding long-term, rewarding and sustainable employment.

Manaaki Tangata

Manaaki Tangata is a Social Labour Supply service developed to support whānau on their journey to finding rewarding and sustainable employment within their chosen industry.

Upon registration with the service, whānau will be allocated a dedicated Kaitiaki who assists in connecting whānau with employment opportunities and completing scheduled visits to ensure support into employment.

How do we work?

Once registered, one of the team makes contact to organise a whanaungatanga visit where you will complete an assessment to identify an appropriate employment pathway.

The assessment also assists Kaitiaki to develop a training plan, self-care plan and goals. Together short-term, mid-term and long-term goals are developed in alignment with an employment pathway plan.

Visits are usually scheduled monthly; however, these are flexible depending on your current situation but know that our team are always available through phone and email.

Delivery of service

Manaaki Tangata is a mixed-mode delivery service. This means that we stay connected with you through scheduled face-to-face visits, phone, email and social media platforms.

Every attempt is made to ensure that these visits do not impact your employment, so may include evening or weekend meet-ups.

Duration of service

Manaaki Tangata walks alongside whānau on their journey for 13 months, but we are always happy to stay connected with our whānau once you exit the service if you require additional support.

For more information about the service or to register, feel free to contact one of our team on 0800 437 634 or alternatively send us a message.
